For sole traders and small businesses
You're a business now, and the spreadsheet isn't keeping up.
Sound familiar?
Once reselling is a business, you need a stock book, invoices with sequential numbers, mileage, expenses and a tax-year summary your accountant can use. If you use the UK margin scheme, every item needs a stock number and a margin. Keeping all that in a spreadsheet, apart from your listings, means typing everything twice.
What SnapFlip does about it
SnapFlip keeps the business records next to the listings. The UK margin scheme stock book, invoices, an accountant pack, mileage and the platform reporting counters all come from the items and sales you already have in the app.

How it works
- 1
Add your business details
Trading name, address, VAT status and invoice numbering, once.
- 2
Sell as usual
Stock numbers, costs and sales build up from your listings and imports.
- 3
Hand it over
Print invoices, export the stock book and send the accountant pack.
What it doesn't do
- It isn't tax or legal advice. Check the margin scheme rules on GOV.UK, or with your accountant, before you rely on them.
- The estimated VAT in the stock book is a working figure, not a return. You file your own VAT return.
Questions
Which plan has the business tools?
The stock book, invoices and accountant pack need the Pro plan and a business seller type in your account. Private sellers see an explainer instead.
Does it work outside the UK?
Invoices work anywhere. France gets a livre des recettes and a registre des achats; elsewhere there's a simple sales and purchases ledger. The margin scheme stock book follows the UK rules.
Are invoices stored?
Issued invoices are kept and can't be edited, so the numbering stays gap-free. The buyer's name and address are typed on the print page and aren't stored.
Can I get my data out?
Yes. Every register and the stock book export to CSV, and you can download all your data from your account at any time.
